In 1701 Herrmann Zapp has founded the first fabrication plant in the Oberbergische Region by acquiring a steam hammer forge. Nowadays the Zapp-group has production plants in Germany, USA and representative offices all over Europe and Asia. 

The middle-scale company processes and deals with metallic precision products, special materials and tool alloys. Zapp supplies mainly clients from the automobile, medical, watch as well as from the automation industry.
